My BlackVue camera is repeating "Check SD card"?
If your BlackVue camera is repeating ‘check SD card’ this prompt usually indicates there is an issue with the SD card in the camera. If you hear this ‘check SD card’ prompt coming from your camera, we firstly recommend attempting to format your SD card using the BlackVue Viewer program.

If formatting the SD card using the BlackVue Viewer does not resolve this issue, or the issue occurs again a short time after, this likely indicates that the SD card has reached the end of it’s life-span and will need to be replaced. SD cards are consumable parts and do have a finite number of read and write cycles that can be performed before this will need to be replaced. The average life-span of a BlackVue SD card is typically 2-3 years, however this does vary and can range from as little as 6 months to 5+ years in extreme cases.

My Blackvue camera keeps restarting (looping)
If your camera is ‘looping’ and says “Blackvue for your safe driving, staring normal recording” there is a problem somewhere triggering the restart.

There are a few reasons for this to happen.

The first one is that the cameras ‘micro SD’ card could need replacing, these are considered as a consumable item, and last 2-3 years.

If this doesn’t fix the problem, try loading the latest ‘Firmware’ to the camera. To do this go to < blackvue.com > find the ‘Firmware’ section and find you camera model, and down load the firmware on your SD card.

Still having problems? Check your power wiring there might be a problem in it.

If none of these steps produce results, the camera may have a internal hardware problem, and will have to be returned to the manufacturer for repair.
